A good day on Scafell Pike, although not too much to see. We climbed by thee Corridor Route to the summit before following the ridge north over Broad Crag and Ill Crag to Esk Hause and down by the Grains Gill Path.

A good afternoons walk above Ambleside today, climbing inn thick cloud to the summit of Red Screes before descending by Kirkstone Pass to follow the Wansfell ridge back to Ambleside.

Helvellyn

A good walk above Thirlmere today as we climbed from Wythburn Church to the summit of Helvellyn.
Thick cloud on the tops today as we followed the ridge south over Nethermost Pike, High Crag and Dollywaggon Pike before descending over Willie Wife Moor to Dunmail Raise and the path back to Wythburn.

Blencathra

A great day on Blencathra today, climbing first the Halls Fell ridge to the summit before descending to Scales Tarn to re-climb by the Sharp Edge ridge back to the summit ridge, descending finally by the Doddick Fell ridge back to Threlkeld.

Scafell Pike

A damp and cloudy start today some very low cloud as we climbed by Sty Head onto the Corridor Route, but as we approached Lingmell Coll the weather cleared for a while giving some good views over Wasdale etc.

Another good day on Helvellyn today, this time climbing from Wythburn Church to the summit before heading south over the Nethermost Pike and Dollywaggon Pike ridge and descending over Willie Wife Moor ridge back down to Wythburn.

Helvellyn & Striding Edge

A great day on Striding Edge today, climbing by Lanty’s Tarn before continuing over the Edge to the summit of Helvellyn.
The snow was very warm and soft, but we had a good day before descending over Swirral Edge and down by Greenside Mines back to Glenridding.

Helvellyn

A little more cloud for today’s climb up Helvellyn from Wythburn. We followed the direct path up from Wythburn Church to the summit of Helvellyn where we stopped in the wind shelter for our lunch. Although a little cloudy the views were great, far clearer than in the sun yesterday!
From Helvellyn we followed the ridge south over Nethermost Pike, High Crag and Dollywaggon Pike before he descent over Willie Wife Moor to Dunmail Raise and back through the woods to Wythburn Church.
