The Bob Graham route though makes a wonderful 5 day circuit of the Lake District taking in 42 summits and involving 72 miles of walking, one of the best ways to really get to know the Lakes.

Over this week we will travel the route of the Bob Graham Round, starting and finishing in Keswick, we will be camping out during the challenge with three nights spent wild camping and one night spent at the Wasdale Head campsite.

Day two follows the Helvellyn ridge south, climbing Clough Head and the Dodds before traversing the ridge to Helvellyn and then Fairfield then descending over Seat Sandal.

Day Three begins with the climb onto Steel Fell then the longest day of the event climbs to High Raise and the Langdale Pikes, Bowfell and then traverses the Scafell Massif, descending from Scafell to Wasdale Head where we will spend the night in the campsite opposite the Wasdale Head Inn.

Day four begins with the steep ascent of Yewbarrow and then the wonderful ridge route over Pillar and Great Gable before descending north towards Honister Pass.

The final day of the challenge climbs over Dale Head and takes in the final summits of Hindscarth and Robinson before the long descent to Derwentwater and Keswick.
