There are sections of Stonycroft Ghyll that are visible from paths, but much of the ghyll is quite hard to view and the paths can be a little treacherous in places.
Stickle Ghyll in Langdale is more suitable for those not wishing to get wet to view the action from the sides.

Question:

Are dogs allowed in the ghyll?

Answers:

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the ghyll. This is due to the nature of the farming land around the ghyll, we would be unable to keep a dog on a lead during the scramble.

There are no changing facilities on the car park, we will however bring changing tents to use and there are also some well placed bushes around the car park.
