Armboth Fells
"There are splendid crags and waterfalls, of which Fisher Crag and Launchy Gill are outstanding." |
A.W Wainwright
|
The forested western shores of Thirlmere hide fells, although not the highest in the Lake District have much to offer, the steep gills and crags around Armboth Fell and Raven Crag have many attractions and the ridge along the summits above of High Seat and High Tove, although wet underfoot at times give a wonderful view of the higher fells on either side. |
"High Seat is a first class viewpoint, with much of interest to see in all directions. The serrated skyline from south to north-west is remarkably good and will gain most attention" |
A.W Wainwright
