Wetherlam from Little Langdale

Wetherlam from Little Langdale

"This fine hill is too vast and sturdy to be disfigured and weakened by man's feeble scratchings on it's surface, and remains today, as of old, a compelling presence to which walkers in Brathay will oft turn their eager steps."
A.W Wainwright

Wetherlam, although not the most famous or popular of the Coniston Fells is a favourite of many, it's slopes hold far more interest than many nearby fells and the ascent from Little Langdale to the north gives a delightful circuit on quieter paths with stunning views.

From Swirl How the path down over Great Carrs along Wet Side Edge is a wonderful descent with good views ahead throughout.

"The picture is everywhere good, but best of all is the lovely countryside of Brathay, seen in all it's glory as seen from an aeroplane, and revealing a large array of sparkling waters."
A.W Wainwright
