Once the schools are back then the adults can come out to play! We've got a busy diary for September, with several challenges, including a 24 Peak Challenge, and plenty of walks, big and small to suit all abilities.
The Lake District Walker offer navigation training courses 265 days a year, with a wide choice of courses on offer there should be something to suit your experience, but we would be happy to tailor make a course for you.
Lets face it, it's called the Lake District for the most obvious reason so what can you do on a rainy day?.....Yes, get wet! This is a fun and exhilarating activity for all, best as a group activity, with fun challenges along the way from sliding down a waterfall to jumping in the plunge pools. Your adrenaline will be pumping in these gorges which are naturally cut out by the flow of the water over the centuries.
The Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge is a two day challenge over a walking distance of 31 miles which will push your mental and physical strength to the limit.
The 24 Peaks is designed to involve fairly strenuous exercise and for your own safety you must be aware of this and consider carefully whether your general level of fitness, or any particular illness or ailment prevents you from participation.
This is a tough challenge that will test your endurance and strength. Set in the stunningly beautiful Lake District you will climb 24 peaks in 24 hours, encountering difficult terrain, lengthy ascents and steep descents along the way.

One of the most popular challenge events in the UK, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge makes a great longer days walking, three great peaks in 12 hours, can you keep the pace?
