Another wet one I thought as I donned the waterproofs before exiting the car in Seathwaite to climb Scafell Pike. As I stood awaiting the group it was clear that they too had had the same idea, as 3 hooded figures approached, squinting against the April drizzle. -

It's hard to imagine a better day to climb to the summit of England's highest mountain, with a bright and frosty start and visibility to the horizon. Few could have found reason to complain as we headed off from Seathwaite farm, with snow capped mountains, bathed in the morning sun in every direction. -
