Scafell Pike from Seathwaite

A glorious day for weather, summiting Scafell Pike starting from Seathwaite, via the corridor route, taking in the summit of Lingmell en route to the summit

We started climbing Scafell Pike at Seathwaite Farm, taking the path to Stockley Bridge.

We continued on passing a calm Styhead Tarn, upon reaching Styhead our route was stretched out before us.

We joined The Corridor route and contoured steadily up to Lingmell col. Here we made the a short dash up to Lingmell. Grabbing  great view out to Wastwater and across to Great Gable. We returned to the col and started the final pull to the summit of Scafell Pike.

We were rewarded with clear views in every direction. After some time to soak it all in. We started our descent. Crossing the plateau, taking in views of Broad Crag, III Crag and Great End. Then dropping down to Esk Hause picking up the path that descends down to Ruddy Gill. Crossing the gill, we  took the path down along Grains Gill  returning to Stockley Bridge. Then we had the final stretch to Seathwaite Farm. Here we treated ourselves to a well  earned Coffee from the farm and relaxed in the evening sun.

Another great day with good conversation and pleasant views.
