This GPS Training course is an ideal introduction to using GPS and digital mapping, giving you the skills to navigate confidently and safely in the mountains using a GPS unit. The day is a combination of outdoor exercises and indoor activities aimed at giving a practical insight into the potential of a GPS system and how to link it to digital mapping. If you already own a GPS unit then we will teach you how to get the most out it. We will also provide GPS receivers for those who do not own their own, giving a valuable insight into what they may be looking for before they go ahead and purchase.

Is this the course for you?

We will provide all the equipment needed for this course, although if you own your own GPS then we will use that. No prior knowledge of GPS navigation is required for this course, although some navigation experience is needed.

It may be preferable to take one of our navigation training courses first. We run these courses 365 days a year and offer a 20% discount on the GPS Training courses when booked with a navigation training course.
