As a novice hiker I was a tad nervous about walking up Scafell Pike on my own - so I decided to book a guide for the 10th April 2013 - so glad I did.

Our guide, John, was great - very patient and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We were provided with specialist gear (crampons and snow axes) which made it seem like a real adventure! 

I thought the cost was pretty good value too.
