The craggy heather covered slopes to the north of Glenridding make an enjoyable shorter days walk, stunning views over Ullswater are the reward for anyone who climbs to the summits of Glenridding Dodd and Sheffield Pike.

The descent through the hidden wooded valley of Glencoyne, by Seldom Seen is a delight.
