The Route:
From Threlkeld we will cross the fields to Halls Farm where we will climb the steep slopes onto Halls Fell Ridge, a good rocky ridge leading directly to the summit of Blencathra.
In good conditions we will have the option to descend to Scales Tarn to reclimb to the summit, this time climbing the famous Sharp Edge ridge before descending over Blease Fell back to Threlkeld.
Please note that the decision to take in the Sharp Edge ridge is entirely at the Group Leaders discretion.

Directions:
Threlkeld is just of the A66 main road between Keswick and Penrith, follow the signs into the village, we will meet outside the Horse and Farrier Pub in the centre of the village, please do not park in the pub car parks, plenty of parking can be found a short distance in either direction from the pub.
