Walk Difficulty
Although sometimes strenuous our walks are well within the capabilities of most people.
An average level of fitness is advisable for any walk of Hard or Very Hard.
Easy | A shorter distance walk, these are generally taken at a slower pace. Any difficult sections e.g. rocky sections are short and easily crossed, paths are generally well made or easy. |
Moderate | Generally between 6 and 10 miles in distance, with not too many rough paths |
Hard | A longer walk, 10 miles plus, with often rough paths |
Very Hard | A long walk, over 16 miles |
Exposure | In addition to the above ratings we often indicate the level of exposure, from mild (e.g.slight drops below the path) to severe exposure (e.g. an exposed edge) |
