Staff & Guides
:John started the company in 2004 taking groups walking in the Lake District Fells. John's keen interest in the Lakeland fells and his love for mountaineering and rock climbing finally forced him to make a business out of his favourite past times, after spending more time in the fells than at his (then) job!
He has been walking these fells since a boy, aged just 5 when he completed Catbells his first fell, unaided. He's keen to help in the upkeep of the environment, attends the BMC meets, volunteers with local projects and is knowledgeable on animals, birds, flora and forna to be found on the fells.
:
Lyanda joined the team full time at Christmas 2009, taking over the full time running of the office and publicity side of the company. Lyanda is recovering from a serious car accident in 2008 but with the help of physio and John she gets to 'have a go' at some of the smaller fells. She has been pushing her luck in the snow and ice this year, luckily with micro spikes so no new breaks!
Lyanda loves adventure and adrenaline and likes to find the team new challenges some are sure to be introduced in 2011 so keep your eyes peeled you never know where we can take you on your next day out!
