Calf Crag
|
"The Highest point, small and rocky, is a pleasant place for a halt and quiet contemplation of the scenery: sheep think so, too." |
A.W Wainwright
|
From the rocky summit cairn of Calf Crag can be seen a wonderful view of the Far Easdale valley below ane east along the ridge over Gibson Knott to Helm Crag.
A great walk includes the circuit of Steel Fell, Calf Crag, Gibson Knott and Helm Crag, but other fine walks can be had by continuing from Calf Crag over High Raise or Sergeant Man or also by dropping down into the Far Easdale or Greenburn Valleys below.
