The ridges between Buttermere and the Newlands Valley lend themselves to great linear ridge walking, a wonderful ridge climbs above Lanthwaite Green and crosses three high peaks before descending to Braithwaite near Keswick.
This great ridge walk takes in th spectacular summits of Whiteside, Hopegill Head and Grisedale Pike.
