Great End

Great End

"Grandly positioned overlooking Esk Hause; it is really in the heart of things and on intimate terms with Bowfell, The Scafells and Great Gable - old favourites."
A.Wainwright

Great End, the 5th highest mountain in England stands proudly above Esk Hause, prominent on the skyline from much of the Lake District.

The route climbing Great End from Langdale also takes in the summits of Esk Pike and Rossett Pike, a wonderful circuit surrounded by the highest fells in the Lake District.
