Gibson Knott
|
"The cairn is not quite the best viewpoint: the ridge eastwards is more satisfying. There is a strong contrast between the smooth slopes towering across the Keswick road and the roough teritory and serrated skyline across Far Easdale." |
A.W Wainwright

Gibson Knott is the high point on the fine ridge between Helm Crag and Calf Crag, with steep drops on either side to the valleys of Far Easdale to the south and Greenburn Valley to the north.
The ridge can give a great walk on days when the higher fells are in cloud.
