High Seat
|
"High Seat is a first-class viewpoint, with much of interest to see in all directions. The serrated skyline froom south to northwest is remarkably good and will gain most attention." |

High Seat, the highest point on the northern section of the central ridge of Lakeland, is a fine viewpoint of the surrounding land, from Helvellyn to the East, Skiddaw north and the broad expanse from Grisedale Pike in the north west to Scafell Pike in the south west.
Although the top is not in the driest area of the Lake District it can be approached without too much dificulty, although it is often best walked either during a particularly dry season or when the ground is frozen!
Approaches to the summit include along the ridge from Bleaberry Fell or High Tove or climbing from Ashness Bridge in the west or Raven Crag in the east.
