Glenridding Dodd above Ullswater and the village of Glenridding is one of the best viewpoints over the lake, once the heathery summit was a popular short walk from Glenridding, but over the years it's popularity has wained, unjustly in our opinion as there are few better viewpoints over Ullswater.
Glenridding Dodd is often covered in a shorter circuit of the fells above Glenridding and the ridge west to Sheffield Pike is a wonderful short walk.
