Hen Comb
|
"The view is better than anticipated, with one aspect in particular, that of Buttermere in a frame of fells, of classic beauty." |

Hen Comb, one of the Loweswater Fells, climbs from the valley of Loweswater gently,a long ridge climbing over first Little Dodd then up the long grassy spine to the summit of Hen Comb. Moesdale Beck and Whiteoak Beck flank the ridge to either side draining from the large boggy area to the south of the summit of Hen Comb.
A circuit can be made by combining Hen Comb with either Gavel Fell and the Loweswater Fells to the west or with the magnificent Mellbreak to the east.
