Scafell Pike from Seathwaite

A great day out on Scafell Pike today, the weather was fantastic after a cloudy start.

We met at Seathwaite Farm and made our way along to Stockley Bridge. From here we headed upto Styhead passing Styhead Tarn. Lingmell and Scafell Pike were hiding in the cloud but this was soon to clear. The air was warm and a little sunshine and blue sky joined us too.

We made good progress along The Corridor Route and upto Lingmell Col.

The final push to the Scafell Pike's summit rewarded us with great views on the top today and very sharp visibility. Enjoyed by many on this Bank Holiday weekend.

We the head across the boulder strewn Plateau towards Great End before dropping down to Esk Hause. Here we met Grains Ghyll and followed this back to Stockley Bridge and returned to Seathwaite Farm.

A really great day with pleasant company, Well done everyone! A good training day for those going on to do the National 3 peak challenge and Everest Base Camp, good luck.
