Harrison Stickle, the highest and most prominent of the Langdale Pikes is one of the most famous views in the Lake District, the steep rocky summit towering aboove the Langdale Valley can be seen froom all travelling between Windermere and Ambleside and beyond.
The view from the summit can be equally specatacular, looking steeply doown to the Langdale Valley beneath your feet you can see over Windermere, across the Eastern Fells, south to Morcambe Bay and even to the Yorkshire Dales on a good day.
Any number of variations can be made in taking in the Langdale Pikes, the most popular routes climb from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in the Langdale Valley.
