Scafell Pike

Scafell Pike

"This is it: the Mecca of all weary pilgrims in Lakeland; the place of many ceremonies and celebrations, of bonfires and birthday parties; the ultimate; the supreme; the one object above all others; the highest ground in England; the top of Scafell Pike."
A.W Wainwright

Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England and by far our most popular route.

We probably climb Scafell Pike more than almost anyone else (John climbed it 96 times in 2009 and more in 2010) so why not take advantage of this experience and let us take you up the pick of the routes.

Scafell Pike is also popular as a Private hire event for charity fundraising, training for The 3 Peaks Challenge and romantic proposals!

Stockley Bridge is an ancient packhorse bridge which lies on the old route between Borrowdale and the Cumbrian coast. The bridge was widened in 1887 and had to be repaired after a 1966 storm.

On 19th & 20th November 2009 Seathwaite received 314.4 millimetres (12.38 in) of rain in a 24 hour period, a major contributor to the 2009 Cumbria floods, a record for the amount of rain falling in any UK place within 24 hours.
