From the church we descend to Sandwick, we will follow the footpath by Sandwick Bay and along the lake shore through Hallinhag Woods to Kailpot Crag, overlooking Ullswater before continuing along the path past Geordie's Crag to Waternook.
From Waternook we begin to climb to the south, climbing over The Rake where a path climbs the fellside to a cairn overlooking Howtown and then up to the summit of Hallin Fell.
The remarkable summit cairn of Hallin Fell marks a spectacular viewpoint over Ullswater and the Martindale Valley.
From the summit cairn we will descend south to meet the path to Bridge End and back to our start point.
Each participant will be required to bring suitable equipment for their chosen event, please see Kit List tab above.

Postcode: CA10 2XH
