Longlands Fell

Longlands Fell

Grid Reference: NY 27590 35402
Height: 483 metres/1585 feet

"The grassy top of the fell is small and neat, and crowned by a small and neat cairn. It has merit both as a viewpoint and a place for a siesta."
A. Wainwright

North of Great Sca Fell the ground descends over two grassy ridges, separated by Charleton Gill, to the north Brae Fell descends towards Greenhead, to the north west a gentle ridge descends over Lowthwaite Fell to the small shapely summit of Longlands Fell before descending to the old road east of Longlands.

The view to the south is limited, although much of The Back O'Skiddaw fells can be seen, to the north however the view is extensive, the gentle hills beyond Caldbeck giving way to the Solway Coast and Scotland across the water beyond.
