For many years it was thought that Scafell was the highest mountain in England, more recently it was discovered that the summit of Scafell Pike rises 14 metres above the summit of Scafell.
This route takes in th summits of both Scafell Pike and Scafell, the two highest mountains in England, a wonderful but hard route with plenty of ascent and covering some rough ground.
