Low Pike

Grid Reference: NY 37354 07832
Height: 508 metres/1667 feet

"The approach, by any of the variations, from the pleasant woods and pastures to the bleak craggy ridge is very attractive."
A.W Wainwright

The southern ridge of Dove Crag descends, dividing the valleys of Scandale and Rydal descends over High Pike to the lower summit of Low Pike, a prominent peak when viewed from Ambleside. Underfoot the summit of Low Pike is less significant, a small rocky outcrop on the ridge in reality.

The views from Low Pike however are spectacular, one of the best viewpoints over Windermere the summit also offers good views over the Coniston Fells and Langdale Pikes.
