Robinson

"One must see it from Newlands to appreciate it's distinctive skyline and the long ridge that characterises this aspect, it's finest." |

Robinson rises south from the head of the Newlands Valley, a long slender ridge, High Snab Bank rises from the valley floor, a long grassy ridge with two rocky steps before climbing to the rocky summit plateau of Robinson. To the south of the summit the ground drops steeply to the Buttermere Valley.
Robinson encloses the small valley of Little Dale, a picturesque and unfrequented valley well worth exploring on a quiet day.
Robinson is usually climbed as part of the Newlands Horseshoe, a fine ridge walk from Little Town in the Newlands Valley, but it can also be combined with Hindscarth for a slightly shorter walk, descending over Scope End making a wonderful route.
