“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as the sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves”
John Muir
A fun packed day in the Langdale Valley, two sessions with a break for lunch between, either bring your own packed lunch or visit the Sticklebarn Inn for refreshment.
The morning session will be on one of the crags above the New Dungeon Ghyll, a beginners session suitable for all and a great introduction to outdoors climbing in the Lake District.
The afternoon session is an exhilarating scramble up Stickle Gill, this is a fun activity for all, best as a group activity, with fun challenges along the way from climbing a waterfall to jumping in the plunge pools. Your adrenaline will be pumping in these gorges which are naturally cut out by the flow of the water over the centuries.
“A special attraction almost unique”

two brilliant days Review by Stewart
I would like to say a big thanks to John and Neil for our two days of climbing and Ghyll walking, and the Helvellyn via Striding Edge scramble. Both guys were extremely good with the kids and us, informative about the lakes and mountains, and nice blokes generally. We felt we were in safe hands throughout all the activities and had two brilliant days out that we shall all remember for years to come. It was all good value for money too and being sent photos, for free, was a very nice touch. We will be recommending you to anyone we know visiting the lakes. (Posted on 22/08/2017)

Excellent day of rock climbing and ghyll scrambling Review by Fiona Taylor
Excellent day of rock climbing and ghyll scrambling . First time we have done either if these and it certainly pushed us both in fitness and bravery ! John was a brilliant guide and was very patient with us , and we had a great sense of accomplishment by the end of the day . Would absolutely recommend this taster / starter day for anyone a bit mad like us or just looking for a day out in the Lakes with a difference . Also for energetic children or teenagers - they will not stop thanking you if you book them in for this . Many thanks again John and I am sure we will be back for more experiences in the future . Langdale Activity day was absolutely brilliant: rock climbing, climbing a waterfall and jumping in plunge pools Review by George
We were a group of 10, we did the Langdale activity day: it included Rock Climbing in the morning and a scramble up Stickle Gill, which involved climbing a waterfall and jumping in the plunge pools. It was incredible fun, and all of us well looked after by John. You can tell he's been doing this for years. He always made sure we're all safe first and following the right procedure for doing things, but also that we were having fun. Highly recommended, I'd easily go back and do it again. Thanks John!
