Sergeant Man
|
"Sergeant Man is so prominent an object and offers so compelling a challenge that it is often given preference over the main fell (High Raise)." |

A wonderful rocky outcrop on the south eaastern edge of the High Raise Plateau Sergeant Man gives excellent views to the south west, especially over Stickle Tarn and across the Langdale Pikes.
A great ridge rooute leads to Sergeant Man from the Silver How and Blea Rigg ridge from either Grasmere or the Langdale Valley.
A short walk from the summit of Sergeant Man is High Raise, the higest peak in the Central Lake District, although a wonderful viewpoint of the high fells Sergeant Man is a much more rewarding top with it's rocky summit.
