A shorter climb from Honister Pass brings us to the summit of Dale Head, a modest climb is rewarded with a dramatic view to the north, along the Newlands Valley to Skiddaw.
A great shorter evening walk, the views are stunning in all directions, east to Helvellyn, south to Great Gable, west towards the coast and north to Skiddaw.
Each participant will be required to bring suitable equipment for their chosen event, please see Kit List tab above.

Directions
From Keswick: Leave on the Borrowdale Road (from the mini roundabout near the co-op) Follow this road for several miles, passing through the village of Rosthwaite, Continue on this main road passing through the village of Seatoller, here the road starts to climb steeply towards Honister Pass, continue to the top of the pass where two pay and display car parks will be seen to the left, we will meet outside the Slate Mine buildings.
Bus Services
Honister is served by a seasonal bus service (Easter to October half term), the bus stop is at the top of the pass, 100m from the meet point.
The 77/77a bus runs between Keswick and Buttermere over Honister Pass.
