Grid Reference: NY 28074 09536
Height: 762 metres/2500 feet

"Hereabouts the surround of mountainous country is complete, the western arc being occupied by a tumultuous skyline and the eastern horizon formed of lofty smooth ranges."
A Wainwright

High Raise, the highest of the central fells is one of the best viewpoint of the Lakeland Fells, with stunning views over the western ranges and east over Helvellyn and the surrounding fells.

The gentle grassy summit can be reached from all directions, Langdale and Borrowdale both give good approaches but the Grasmere side of the mountain gives the more popular routes, including the route over Blea Rigg and Sergeant Man.
