"Loft Crag is a worthy member of a fine trinity of peaks."
A Wainwright

Often looked over, Loft Crag is a worth member of the Langdale Pikes, the summit gives wonderful views over the Langdale Valley. The land below drops off suddenly below the summit with the huge face of Gimmer Crag, one of the largest in the Lake District.

Loft Crag is often crossed on the descent from a circuit of the Langdale Pikes descending from the summit to one of the paths on either side of the Dungeon Ghyll ravine.
