Dollywaggon Pike

Grid Reference: NY 34629 13063
Height: 858 metres/2815 feet

"Here are silent recesses rarely visited by walkers but well worth a detailed exploration."
A.W Wainwright

To the south of Helvellyn the ridge crosses first the summit of Nethermost Pike before reaching the fine summit of Dollywaggon Pike, a fine summit with good views over the crags of Ruthwaite Cove and Nethermost Pike.

To the south of Dollywaggon Pike the ridge descends to Grisedale Tarn from where paths lead to the summits of Saint Sundays Crag, Fairfield and Seat Sandal.

The eastern shoulder of Dollywaggon Pike is a fine route, a rocky ridge climbs from above Ruthwaite Beck climbing along The Tongue directly to the summit of Dollywaggon Pike.
