High Hartsop Dodd

High Hartsop Dodd

Grid Reference: NY 39357 10766
Height: 519 metres/1703 feet

"A very shapely pyramid rising from green fields."
A.W Wainwright

The grassy ridge of High Hartsop Dodd descends north from the summit of Little Hart Crag, a gentle slope culminating in a small summit, marked by a cairn before the step descent down to the valley below, but from the valley near Brothers Water below High Hartsop Dodd looks far more impressive, a steep sided pyramid.

The view from High Hartsop Dodd down to Brothers Water and the valley of Dovedale are worth the short detour from the summit of Little Hart Crag alone.
