"Latrigg is to Keswick what Loughrigg is to Ambleside and Helm Crag to Grasmere."
A. Wainwright

Latrigg is a popular summit, it's views over Keswick to Derwentwater and the Borrowdale Valley are exceptional and it's flat grassy summit is just a short walk from the Latrigg Car Park, on the col to the north of the fell, a well made and easy path climbs Latrigg from Keswick, along Spooney Green Lane. All these factors make the summit of Latrigg a popular place on a sunny day, a perfect place for a picnic.

Several good paths from Keswick to the summit make Latrigg a worthwhile short excursion, particularly the paths through Brundholme Woods or the disused railway line, Latrigg is also often crossed when descending to Keswick from Skiddaw, a picturesque end to the day.
