"the big cairn on Seatallan is attributed to the early British inhabitants and may well be thousands of years old."
A Wainwright

The huge grassy dome of Seatallan, above the Wasdale Valley is not the best known mountain to fellwalkers, but it is prominent when seen from the higher fells around the head of Wasdale, particularly from the Scafells across the valley.

The summit is an interesting place, a tumulus on the summit is thought to be thousands of years old, probably marking a burial.
