Height: 883 metres/2897 feet

"Raise deserves a special cheer."
A.W Wainwright

To the north of Helvellyn the ridge descends over Helvellyn Little Man to the gentle summit of White Side before continuing to the rocky summit of Raise, a fine viewpoint over much of Lakeland.

To the north of Raise the ridge descends to Stake Pass, the track crossing the main ridge from Stannah to Glenridding and an easy path to the high summits. North of the pass the ridge continues over the Dodds, a wide grassy ridge.

The eastern face of Raise is well known to local skiers, having the only ski tow in the Lake District, run by the Lake District Ski Club.
