Froswick, lies on the ridge between Ill Bell and Thornthwaite Crag with Troutbeck to the west and Kentmere to the east. Froswick is regularly crossed as part of the Kentmere Horseshoe, one of the best ridge routes in the Lake District.

The view west from the summit of Froswick is magnificent, with the Scafell range seen across the breadth of the Lake District and the fells surrounding the Langdale Valley in the foreground.
