Lords Seat, the highest summit of the Whinlatter Fells, although the summit does not have quite as good a view as some of it's satellite summits there is a good 360 degree panorama from the summit.
Several interesting and varied routes climb to the summit of Lords Seat, from the south a circuit of Aiken Beck can be made traversing all the Whinlatter Fells, from the east several good routes can be found climbing from Thornthwaite through the forests or via the wonderful summit of Barf with it's stunning views over Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw. A good short walk can be made from Whinlatter Pass, climbing through the forestry land to the open land around the summit.
