Meal Fell

Grid Reference: NY 28259 33711
Height: 550 metres/1804 feet

"Pleasant walking and interesting scenery make this short journey into the Uldale Fells very enjoyable."
A. Wainwright

West of Great Sca Fell a grassy shoulder descends to the rocky summit of Meal Fell, before dropping to the deep cleft of Trusmadoor, rising again to the summit of Great Cockup.

From the summit of Meal Fell the view south is dominated by Skiddaw, although there is a good view across Bassenthwaite Lake to the fells above Whinlatter. The best view however is to the north west where the Solway Coast and Scotland dominate.
