"Cold Fell is a Crinkle Crag in Minature."
A Wainwright

The ridge that descends south east from The Crinkles descends gently to the three rocky summits of Cold Pike, a series of three rocky outcrops above Red Tarn and a fine viewpoint, particularly to the north and east.

The main path climbing the Crinkle Crags from Red Tarn climbs to the north of Cold Pike, few make the short detour to this fine little summit.
