"The glorious jungle of juniper and birch, heather and bracken, make this one of the most attractive of Lakeland's fells."
A Wainwright

The delightful little Holme Fell, above the Tilberthwaite Valley is one of the most charming little fells in the Lake District. The western slopes once heavily mined and quarried have now returned to nature and the brief glimpses of this mining heritage only adds to the charms of this little gem.

The southern flank of Holme Fell offers much for the scrambler where several crags offer routes above Yewdale.

It is the rambling nature of the fellside, covered in outcrops and heather, forests on the lower slopes and the craggy summits with unsurpassed views over Coniston Water to the south that make this a must for all lovers of Lakeland.
