“Doubly happy, however, is the man to whom lofty mountain tops are within reach”
John Muir
The Lake District 24 Peak Challenge is a two day challenge over a walking distance of 31 miles which will push your mental and physical strength to the limit.
The 24 Peaks is designed to involve fairly strenuous exercise and for your own safety you must be aware of this and consider carefully whether your general level of fitness, or any particular illness or ailment prevents you from participation.
This is a tough challenge that will test your endurance and strength. Set in the stunningly beautiful Lake District you will climb 24 peaks in 24 hours, encountering difficult terrain, lengthy ascents and steep descents along the way.

A long and tough but enjoyable 2 days walking Review by David
This was a very tough couple of days walking covering significant distance and ascent. It does require a deal of physical and mental grit to get through it - especially when the wind was blowing around 40 mph. However, it was really enjoyable and we were well supported by our guide - TJ - and the ground crew of John and Lyanda. Thanks for the experience. (Posted on 15/06/2018)
